First Tuesday Hub' in Holy Trinity
The next First Tuesday Hub will be held on Tuesday 7 August from 1.30 - 3.30pm in Church. The Hub provides a meeting place where people can come along to:
- Enjoy friendship and refreshments
- Receive specialist advice on a range of subjects
- Organise activities for themselves and others
- Contribute ideas for future meetings
The August Hub will be led by AgeUK Lancs with representatives from a number of other charities and local organisations.
A special attraction this time is 'Gilly' from BBC Radio Lancashire who will be broadcasting live from the Hub. He'll be looking to talk to lots of people and spread the news about the Hub.
Also, the local Police will be providing bike identification tags for free! This service is for adults and children.
Come along! Bring a neighbour or friend and enjoy a chat over tea and cake; take the chance to see what is on offer and let us know what the Hub can do for you!

Fond Farewell
Mrs Brocklebank and Mrs Midgley, long-serving staff members of our local Primary School will be retiring at the end of next week along with Mr Dixon, the Site Supervisor. It will seem strange next term for all those who knew these members of staff as they will be really missed. Thank you to you all for your long service to the school and to all the children whom you have seen come and go and have helped along the way.
