2020VISION - Street Gallery

The 2020VISION outdoor exhibition is now open 24/7 in Morecambe.  It's stunning and it's FREE. There's a special facebook page and many more 2020VISION events coming too.  Read about the movie, the theatre show, photo workshops, and the man himself... 

The street gallery is in Morecambe until 29 June when it moves to Barrow and then to Grange.  As it is open 24/7 you can nip out over lunch or after dinner.  And it makes a great half-term trip: bike on the prom, visit the street gallery, enjoy the views across the Bay, and there's lots of lovely options for tea, cake and ice-cream really nearby. 

Community Playground Project Update

After a couple of setbacks the playground refurbishment is now making good steady progress.
A fantastic boost to funds has come from members of Carnforth Rotary Club who, with match funding from Rotary District 1190, have generously contributed £5,000 to purchase the Hide & Slide item of play equipment. Their support is greatly appreciated.
The Mike Rigby Bowls Trophy raised £316 for the playground, many thanks to Bowling Club members for their efforts and to Sheila Rigby for nominating Community Playground Project to be the recipient of funds raised.
An application for a grant to Lancaster Green Spaces for £500 towards the cost of trees was successful and Lancaster Community Fund has donated £500 towards the project.
After a successful, well supported year of fundraising the playground will reach its full potential and when completed will provide the community of Bolton-le-Sands with a recreational area they can thoroughly enjoy and be proud of. Thank you to all who have contributed in any way to make this eagerly anticipated playground refurbishment possible.

Members pay £9 plus cost of attraction.  Visitors pay £1 surcharge.  Membership is £5 per year.

Kitty Brown Boutique is holding a Fashion Show in St Mary's Church Hall on Tuesday 27th May at 7.30pm.  Entrance £5 which includes refreshments.  Lots of accessories including jewellery, scarves bags etc as well as plenty of clothes including good value, quality sale rail.  All major credit and debit cards accepted.
