1700 Homes for Bolton-le-Sands!

New evidence suggests that the District Council should plan for around 9,500 jobs and 13,000 new homes for the years up to 2031 to provide for our growing and changing community.  Have your say on potential sites including losing green field sites between Slyne and Bolton-le-Sands and Crag Bank.  Come along to a Drop-In event.  Tuesday 27th October at the Carnforth Heritage Centre or Wednesday 28th October in Slyne Memorial Hall 2pm to 7pm  To find out more, please visit the 'October 2015 Local Plan' web page.

Annual Firework Display

Members of the Bolton le Sands Bonfire and Fireworks Committee are now meeting regularly to finalise their planning and preparations for this year’s bonfire and firework display. As popular as ever, people from far and wide will be descending on the community field at Packet Lane to witness this always spectacular event.
This year’s show will take place on the 7th of November with the bonfire being lit at 6.45 pm and the fireworks show scheduled to follow. Tickets are available from local shops priced at £5. All the usual entertainments, music, burgers, hot dogs, connoisseur coffees and fudge stalls will be there.
Owing to unprecedented demand and in the interests of public safety, entrance to this year’s event will be ticket only. There will be no facilities for paying at the gate on the night.
The committee would also wish to sincerely thank local businesses and The Bay Radio for their continued support.
