Discover the intriguing history of the Bay with some great events in the next few weeks...

Jack Manning knows more than anyone about the history of local fishing.  He’s one of our favourite people, and always a pleasure to listen to, so we really hope that you will join us to hear Jack on Saturday 15 August at 2pm in Grange.  Book now.

Everything that you learn about a place makes it more yours and more fascinating.

Together with our volunteer history detectives, and professional archaeologists too, we’ve been learning much more about the Bay’s history over recent months.  Our Heritage Open Days  on 12 & 13 September at Warton Crag and Piel offer fascinating new insights to these sites and their secrets.  Places are limited, so please book now

We’re looking forward to welcoming you at these events over the summer.

And, we continue with other events including beach cleans. Joining in a beach clean is one of the simplest and most satisfying ways to help keep the Bay looking great; the volunteers are friendly and the sun always shines.  Well, at least one of these statements is true… Next dates: 8, 9, 15, 22, 30 Aug. 2, 12, 19, 26 Sept.
