The spring weather seems to have prompted a number of incidents of rogue traders offering tree pruning and gardening work. In one incident a trader offering a tree cutting service asked for £200 up front to hire the necessary equipment to do the job. The consumer paid in cash but unfortunately the trader was not seen or heard from again.
In another incident traders targeted two elderly gentlemen and offered to cut several trees. The consumers paid £1500 in cash but then the traders demanded a further £200 to take away the debris.
